"The Adambier project was the outcome and celebration of a two year collaboration on a new barrel-aged glass released by Spiegelau and developed alongside Green Flash, Great Divide and Cigar City Brewing. In January of 2016 our brewers flew to San Diego to collaborate on a base recipe for release at the Great American Beer Festival. Once the base beer was developed each brewery returned home to brew the beer in their own style and age it on different wood showcasing their interpretations of the beer while highlighting the advantages of the new glass.
Aged in Olorosso Sherry casks. Featuring notes of burnt toffee, molasses, light-roast coffee, with a balancing hop bitterness. We have added a small amount of Brettanomyces character to our beer to bring out hints of cherry pie and fresh pipe tobacco.
